Free Resume Checker

Score your CV free before you apply.

Upload your CV and get an instant score, estimated by AI, with one strength to keep. No account needed: the file is deleted once its text has been extracted, and an analysis without an account is erased after 7 days.

How it works

From upload to verdict in three steps.

No form, no signup, no retyping. The score comes from the document you already have.

  1. Upload your CV

PDF, DOCX or TXT, up to 10MB. No account is asked for, and the file itself is deleted as soon as its text has been extracted.

  2. The AI reads it

The AI reviews the content: job title, skills, quantified results, action verbs, repeated lines, languages and dates. Layout is not scored. An estimate, not an employer's verdict.

  3. Get your score and report

Your overall score, your ATS content check and one strength are free. The full report, every weakness and how to fix it, comes with Pro.

Why it matters

Software often reads your CV before anyone does.

Many employers run applications through an applicant tracking system (ATS) before a person reads them. Recruiters can often search those applications by job title or skill, so this check looks at what your CV actually says.

  • A score across four sections

In the full report (Pro), summary, experience, education and skills are each marked out of 100, so you see which part of the CV is doing the damage instead of guessing.

  • An ATS content check

A job title that matches your level, a full skills list, quantified results, action verbs, no repeated lines, complete dates. It checks what your CV says, not how the file is laid out.

  • Strengths you should keep

A review is not only faults. The report names what already works, so a rewrite doesn't sand off the parts recruiters were responding to.

  • Fixes, not just findings

Every weakness in the full report comes with a concrete suggestion, and one click imports the CV into the editor to apply them.

FAQ

Checking a CV: the questions we get

Is the CV check really free?

Yes. The upload, the analysis, your overall score, your ATS content check and one strength are free, with no account and no card. The full written report, with every weakness explained and a suggestion for each, is a Pro feature.

Do I need an account to see my score?

No. You upload the file and the score appears; that's the whole flow. An account lets you keep the report; the full version comes with Pro.

What happens to my CV after the analysis?

The uploaded file is deleted as soon as its text has been extracted. That text is then sent to OpenAI, our AI provider, to structure and score it. Before it is sent, your email address, phone number and links are replaced by placeholders, and so is your name when we can recognise it. The real values are put back on our side. The rest of your CV, including employer and school names, is sent as written. The structured summary the report is built on is kept for 7 days if you don't create an account, then erased. Your CV is never sold, and we don't use it to train any model.

Which file formats can I upload?

PDF, DOCX and TXT, up to 10MB. If your CV lives in a design tool, export it to PDF first; that's also the version an ATS would receive.

What does the score actually measure?

Two things, both read from the text of your CV. The overall score rates the content as a whole: summary, experience, education and skills. The ATS content check follows a fixed list: a job title that matches the seniority you claim, a substantial skills list without duplicates, skills used in your experience also listed, quantified achievements, action verbs, no repeated bullet, languages listed and complete dates in order. Neither tests your file's layout, and no ATS software is used. It is an AI estimate you get before you apply, not the output of any employer's system.
